A lifelong resident of South Trenton, I am a 15-year veteran of the Graphic Arts industry. Starting work in the field at the age of 20, I have worked in all aspects of the design world including news/media, pharmaceutical advertising and most recently as an Award-Winning Senior Designer for New Jersey Housing and Mortgage Finance Agency, New Jersey’s largest financier of Affordable Housing where I manage the Marketing and Communications department that performs graphic design and media related duties for almost 300 people and nearly a dozen divisions and departments.
In 2007 and 2008, I received several awards including multiple Graphic Design USA Awards for my work. I was also presented with the NCSHA (National Council of State Housing Agencies) 2008 Program Excellence Award for the 2008 New Jersey Housing and Mortgage Finance Agency Annual Report where I successfully managed to win despite dozens of other HFA’s (Housing Finance Agencies) vying for the same accolade.
Growing up, I was heavily involved in the underground music scene where I not only published and successfully distributed thousands of copies of my music based “fanzine” called Nevermore but also created a record label to distribute the bands I felt most passionate about. Nevermore Records released several vinyl and CD titles including the Tie That Binds cd compilation that included national acts such as Lifetime, which sold nearly 5,000 copies.
A founding member and Art Director of Trenton’s wildly successful 24-hour art extravaganza, Art All Night-Trenton, which began in 2007, my logo design and branding have become notable fixtures in the City of Trenton as well as the surrounding areas. This has helped propel Art All Night-Trenton into a very successful, volunteer-based event with 2008 bringing almost 8,000 people to the annual show.
In 2008, I was elected to the Artworks Board of Directors. With this I bring my 15 years of experience in advertising/marketing as well as my knowledge of Graphic Design, Printing Services, Website Design and Art Direction. |
